I'm joining in the quest! What I want to stop the most is apologizing for taking up space, particularly in qualifying my statements, but I do it so often that I want to give myself a win for this first quest--this first step in reclaiming my right to BE ;) And trying to eliminate them all will have me not wanting to talk at all, ha!

So for my first quest, I will intentionally speak slower for the week, starting today with a huge Gala we're attending with friends. Speaking slower will add clarity and confidence to my tone and message, but more importantly, I will be able to catch the qualifiers I use as interruptions in the *middle* of my speech. The qualifiers I lean on when I have already been telling a story or talking to a friend, and then I start feeling vulnerable and insecure about what I'm sharing. Like you said in the post, I start "shrinking."

I want to own my story. I don't want to apologize for it. So I want to start with eliminating those middle interruptors, leaning into the courage I already displayed by telling my story to begin with, and stand tall and own my right to space

I love all this, Rachel! We've had to delay our follow up love until the first Sunday in May. I'd love for you to join us in the chat and let us know how it went.
