I’ve been tracking emotional beats in my life since on note cards since reading a psych-based book called “Life Mapping” back in the late 80s. Although my undergraduate degree is English/ creative writing (and yes, I’m dying to get a Masters/PhD, even at 56 … Preferably at Oxford, puh-leeez!), it never crossed my mind to look for tropes! Find the glimmers of life and decorate the wounds, sure, but never apply tropes! How. Fun! Plus, my kids n I called our single-parent home school, “Adventure Academy.” I think I’m going to like it here!
Applications open in September for their low-residency MSt! I’m chasing recommendations this summer —my profs have all retired but I’ve been a magazine editor and in book/magazine publishing for a non profit. Are you a fan of any US programs? Most are ridiculously expensive …

And girl - same on the bookstores & water. I spent 10 years working in the book industry, and my happy place is the water. I'm counting down the days until it's warm enough to float in the pool and read a book.

I did both my Masters (crime writing) and PhD at the University of Dundee. I don't know much about the US programs.
